Rules and Guidelines
The following rules have been made to ensure a smooth and problem free running of our forum. This means, that these rules must be respected and followed by all members. In addition, the Moderators/ Administrators act as Supervisors and will react, if nessessary, as soon as a violation of the rules occur.

Security and Hint
It is expressly pointed out, that whilst a user/member contributes a posting, his IP-address will be recorded. In case of any unlawful action, the IP-address will passed on to the appropriate authorities. Forum usage is at your own risk. Your account is yours alone. You may not share your password or account login with anyone. It is also not allowed to use a password or account login in order to gain access to another member account. The data given at the time of registration are strictly confidentials and may not be accessable to third parties. The only exception being the criminal authorities.
Manners
We take the "Be Polite" rule very seriously. The Board maintains a cultured, civilized and amicable contract tone. Contributions/ post with obscene, vulgar, sexually orientated, radically right-wing, hideous, insulting, menacing or any other unlawful content, are prohibited.
Advertising in the forum
Using the Forum for commercial purposes is not permitted. The team reserve the right to remove or delete all contributions, containing Advertisements, illegal, abusive or otherwise unacceptable material. Should you bump into contributions whose contents seem to you as dubious, please inform one of the moderators.
Avatare
Avatars may be used as long as they are not offensive and do not show acts of violence. The same applies to profile pictures avatar that is offensive unlawful or insulting is prohibited, and we reserve the right to ask you to change and/or remove your avatare at any time, for any reason.
Private messages/ e-mails
Private messages are strictly to be used for private subjects, not for public usage. It is therefore not permitted to publish e-mails or private messages other members without their consent. Sending advertisements by private message to other members is prohibited. Should this occur, the recipient must inform an Administrator and issue him with a copy of the private message received.
Signatures
Signatures should make members and their provided contributions more personal. The contents must agree with the forum rules. The administrators reserve the right to change and/or remove the signature without prior warning and to comment on their action. Signature size must be kept down to relieve the forums server performance.
Falsely placed posts/ Repeated contributions
The contributions/posts made in the wrong subject sub-forum which are found by the administrator, will be shifted into the corresponding sub-forum. The team reserve the right to inform the author of the contribution/post. Repeated wrong posts and repeat posts will lead to a warning or suspension.
Personal data
Apart from the few compulsory questions, all personal data are volantary. One must remember, that all other members can read this personal data. Visitors are, however, excluded from this area.
Trading/Sales
Trading or selling of goods beyond our market place, especially illegal goods, is strictly forbidden. Should a post be found containing trading intentions, it will be removed.
Traders
Traders are prohibited to use the forum to inform members about offers or purchase inquiries. Traders have the option of advertising in the Fieldpost newspaper against a fee. Traders who offend against this rule will be excluded from this forum.
Contribution copyrights
The copyright for the contributions/posts, as far as these are copyright capable, remain with the author, with one restriction that the author give "Die-Feldpost-2-Weltkrieg.org" the right to display the contribution for an indefenite period. Nevertheless, publication of forum contributions by third parties need the authors consent! All pictures in the forum are added on as an appendix, and loaded on to the forum server. Interlinking of pictures is not permitted, so that a uniform appearance of the forum is given.
With each contribution/post one can add on 10 pictures with a total file of 800 KB. The pictures should amount to a least one size 400 x 400 pixels and should not exceed 500 x 500 pixels. With a picture size of 400 x 400 pixels, the picture has a maximum of 35 KB, with picture size 500 x 500 pixels maximum of 55 KB. Therefore a small margin of approx. 450 KB remains.If the total size of 800 KB is exceeded, the subject does not appear and instead "Error 400" is shown. When this occurs, the administration must be informed. containing the information in which sub-forum and which subject/post is affected. With this information, we can find the mistake and remove it.
